Jules and Chloe knew Debbie didn’t have any future in show business. She just didn’t have the bone structure for it.
My latest project in studio. The program was simple; create a “contemplation pod” for physicists located in Rinconanda Canyon on the West Side of Albuquerque. We used a story from Einstein’s Dreams, a book by Alan Lightman, to create a design language. We also had to maintain a cubic identity and use only the square-footage of the material that made up a cube (inner wall, outer wall, frame). I chose a story where people age backwards; from old to young, and abstracted that as an architectural movement from darkness to light. I’m very pleased with the project (plus, I got back the grades today and it seems my instructor was too).
